Vision for Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established secondary school in
- Walsall to appoint an enthusiastic and creative
- Photography Teacher for a full-time, long-term supply position starting in
September 2026 .
- This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified
- Photography Teacher or
Art and Photography Teacher with experience delivering Photography across Key Stages 4 and 5.
The successful candidate will join a supportive Creative Arts department and take on the full responsibilities of a permanent member of staff throughout the placement.
The Role
As the successful
Photography Teacher , you will
- Teach Photography to students across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons.
- Inspire students to develop their creativity, technical skills and visual communication.
- Assess, monitor and record student progress in line with school policies.
- Mark work and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
- Attend departmental meetings, staff meetings and training.
- Participate in
Parents' Evenings and contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Carry out all usual teaching responsibilities expected of a classroom teacher.
- The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who
- Holds
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching
Photography within a UK secondary school or sixth form.
- Has excellent classroom management skills.
- Is passionate about developing students' creative and technical abilities.
- Can build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
- Is committed to raising standards and supporting student achievement.
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with relevant placement experience are encouraged to apply.
