About the role

Learning Support Assistant (Part Time, Temporary)
Newcastle-upon-Tyne (NE6 area)
£273.60 – £280 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

September 2025 – July 2026

The School and Role

We are looking for a part-time LSA on behalf of a primary school in the NE6 area of Newcastle. The successful LSA will be expected to deliver both general as well as one-to-one support, working as part of an established team in the Lower Key Stage 2 section of the school. The role would be Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 12.30pm. This school operates within an ethos emphasising both caring and quality support to deliver an excellent pupil development programme. The school is ideally seeking a minimum Level 2 qualified Teaching Assistant, however would be open to other teaching qualifications and experience if relevant.

Requirements

The desired LSA will have;

  • Experience of working with primary school aged children
  • Experience of working with children with SEND
  • A passion for ensuring the progress of pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • Ideally a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification, however other relevant teaching qualifications and experience is applicable
