We are seeking a passionate and resilient Teacher who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of primary aged students with SEMH needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students reconnect with education, build positive relationships, and develop the skills needed to succeed both in and beyond the classroom. This role would suit someone who understands that behaviour is often a form of communication and who can respond with patience, consistency, and empathy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual student needs.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and structured classroom environment.
  • Use positive reinforcement strategies to promote engagement and positive behaviour.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to support their emotional and academic development.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and the wider support team.
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to individual learning or support plans.
  • Support students in developing confidence, resilience, and social skills.

Requirements

  • QTS/QTLS
  • Experience of working with primary school aged children.
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs.
  • An ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship building skills.

Benefits

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are QTS/QTLS.
