About the role
Food Technology and Resistant Materials Teacher Vision for Education are recruiting DT Teacher for in and around the Kingswinford area. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Design and Technology Teacher with experience delivering Food Technology and Resistant Materials across Key Stages 3 and 4.
As the successful Food Technology and Resistant Materials Teacher, you will:
- Teach Food Technology and Resistant Materials to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, practical and theory-based lessons.
- Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
- Assess, monitor and record student progress in line with school policies.
- Mark work and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
- Attend departmental meetings, staff meetings and training.
- Participate in Parents' Evenings and contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Carry out all usual teaching responsibilities expected of a classroom teacher.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Food Technology and Resistant Materials within a UK secondary school.
- Is passionate about inspiring young people through practical learning.
- Can build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
- Is committed to raising standards and supporting student achievement.
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with relevant placement experience are encouraged to apply.
