Schools regularly contact us looking for teaching assistant support. Schools are generally looking for teaching assistants to work on a 1‑1 or small group basis with children who require additional support. These roles tend to come about with very little notice due to schools taking on a new starter or long term staff absence.
We are looking for people with a confident approach to building relationships with children, particularly those with SEND. You will need to have a calm and empathetic approach and an understanding that behaviour is a means of communication. A working knowledge of the 'Cambridge Therapeutic Approach' would be beneficial. The schools we work with are friendly and supportive with solid staff induction procedures.
