About the role

Vision for Education is seeking a skilled and dedicated Complex Needs Teacher to work within an SEN school in Huntingdon. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality science lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, maintaining excellent standards of teaching and learning, supporting pupil progress, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

They will also provide calm, consistent support to pupils with autism and other complex needs, helping to create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.

Your responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Mark and assess student work, providing clear feedback to support progress
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Model respectful, inclusive behaviour and contribute to a classroom culture where every student feels valued, heard, and respected.

A supportive school for students aged 5‑19 who are currently unable to access mainstream education due to challenging behaviour, ASC, or other complex needs.

Requirements

  • Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A valid DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Commit to safeguarding responsibilities and complete an enhanced DBS check as part of standard procedure.

Safeguarding

Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. All staff will undergo thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold or prepare to undergo an enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.

Salary

Β£150 to Β£170 per day, dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
