About the role
Are you a recent graduate seeking some school-based experience in secondary schools? Are you considering a career in education and teaching? Our partnering secondary schools in Kirklees/Calderdale/Wakefield are seeking confident individuals who are passionate about education to work as Graduate cover supervisors.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on a flexible schedule part or full time. Lessons will be planned and your role as a Graduate cover supervisor is to facilitate the class's learning, manage classroom behaviour, record accurate registers and provide handover notes for the absent teacher.
Successful candidates will be adaptable, flexible, motivated, confident, organised and will have a passion for education and supporting young people. This role provides a great opportunity to gain experience of working within a secondary school prior to applying for Initial Teacher Training. Previous experience working with secondary age children is desirable but not essential.
