About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Cambridgeshire for a long‑term position. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to supporting children’s learning and development across the primary age range.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 as required
  • Work closely with teaching staff to plan and prepare learning activities
  • Provide targeted interventions to support pupil progress
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Support pupils with a range of needs, including SEN where appropriate

Requirements

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience working within a primary school setting
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
