About the role
Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) (Part-time, Temporary)
Gateshead, NE9
£310 - £325 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)
September 2025 – December 2025
The School and Role
Vision for Education is seeking to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work on a part-time basis at a school in Gateshead (NE9), from September 2025. The successful HLTA will be working predominantly within KS1, to provide intervention sessions as well as PPA cover to class teachers. The role is for 3 days per week. This is a ‘Good’ Primary school, where staff foster a love of learning and where children feel happy and supported coming to school.
Requirements
The desired HLTA will have;
- Experience of working with primary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
