The School and Role:
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Hastings. This role is full time, supporting pupils across the school, and is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping children reach their full potential. You will work closely with the class teacher to support learning in the classroom, provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment. The school has a strong focus on teamwork, pupil wellbeing, and supporting children’s academic and personal development. You will be joining a dedicated staff team who are committed to providing high-quality education and pastoral care for all pupils.
The ideal Teaching Assistant will have:
- Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting
- A caring, patient, and flexible approach
- The ability to support learning across the primary curriculum
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Experience supporting pupils with additional needs is desirable but not essential
