Do you have the ability to engage a young person no matter what barriers they may face? This welcoming and supportive special school based in Grantham is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Education Support Worker to support students aged between 5 – 19 in the classroom under the direction of the class teacher. The Education Support Worker role is varied and will involve supporting students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis starting ad hoc which may lead to a short/long term contract for the right candidate.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting students with additional needs or vulnerable adults
- Have a patient and caring nature
- The ability to de-escalate any challenging behaviours
