We are seeking reliable and flexible General Cover Teachers to work on an ad hoc basis in secondary schools across Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity for both part-time and full-time applicants who are passionate about education and enjoy working with young people.

Location: Secondary schools in Derby

Contract: Ad hoc basis

Hours: Part-time or full-time opportunities available

Pay: £150 – £180 per day

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide cover for absent teaching staff across various subjects
  • Manage classrooms and ensure students remain engaged in learning
  • Follow existing lesson plans and school policies
  • Support the school in maintaining a safe and positive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) preferred but not essential
  • Previous classroom experience in secondary education is an advantage
  • Flexible, reliable, and adaptable to different school environments
