Are you somebody with experience providing support across EYFS classes that would be interested in an exciting new role for the rest of the academic year, with a view to extension for September onward? Vision for Education are currently seeking an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team and work in a highly supportive primary school in York. Whilst the school do have a preference for full time to aid with continuity, part time might be workable on a potential job share.
Key requirements:
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in EYFS
- A nurturing personality that will help keep children engaged in the classroom
- The ability to work well in a team
- The ability to be flexible and offer classroom support in different classes if needed
- A DBS that is registered to the Update Service (we can help facilitate this if required)
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer general classroom support to teaching staff to help with lesson delivery
- Provide small group and 1-1 support to EYFS learners
- Help to create a safe and nurturing environment that keeps children feeling safe and engaged
- Promote positive behaviour and help with classroom management whilst adhering to the school behaviour policy
