The Role
We are recruiting a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant (TA) to support pupils with additional learning needs across a range of welcoming primary schools in the Salford area, starting September. This long-term Teaching Assistant role is ideal for candidates looking to build consistent experience supporting children with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) within Key Stage 1 and Lower Key Stage 2 settings (Year 1 – Year 4).
Requirements
- As a Primary TA, you will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs.
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils access learning, develop confidence, and regulate within the classroom environment.
- Support children with varying communication styles, emotional regulation needs, and learning abilities, adapting activities and approaches to meet individual EHCP targets and classroom expectations.
- Promote a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
