Vision for Education are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in North Warwickshire to recruit an Early Career Teacher (ECT) for a KS1 - Year teaching role, starting in September 2026. This full‑time position is to cover a maternity leave and is expected to run for the academic year. It offers a fantastic opportunity for an ECT to gain hands‑on experience in an Early Years setting while completing part of your induction in a supportive and well‑structured environment. The school may want to start this position in July for the last couple of weeks of this academic year, so please apply sooner rather than later.

The role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging, play‑based learning in line with the KS1 framework, supporting children at a crucial stage in their development. The role involves planning creative activities, assessing progress, and fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment. You will be supported by an experienced KS1M team, with access to mentoring, shared planning, and ongoing professional development throughout your induction year.

Requirements

  • Hold, or be working towards, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Be an Early Career Teacher looking to complete your induction year

  • Be able to provide references covering the last two years (including placements)
  • Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service
  • Have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications, with a minimum requirement of a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE with QTS).
