Vision for Education is seeking confident, adaptable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work on a flexible supply basis in one of Essex's highest-performing grammar schools in the Colchester area.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Cover Supervisors or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking for flexible work in an exceptional educational environment.
You’ll supervise pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring students remain engaged and on task while maintaining the school's high standards of behaviour and achievement.
The role
- Deliver pre-set lessons across a variety of subjects.
- Manage classroom behaviour confidently and positively.
- Support students to complete their learning independently.
- Report back to teaching staff following each lesson.
- Choose the days that suit your availability – whether that’s one day a week or full‑time.

The ideal candidate will
- Have experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, youth work or similar setting.
- Be confident leading a classroom and communicating clearly.
- Be flexible, reliable and professional.
- Hold a degree (desirable but not essential).
- Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service if required.
