QTS Teacher with BSL Training – Secondary School, Chelmsford
Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated Qualified Teacher (QTS) with British Sign Language (BSL) training to work in a welcoming secondary school in Chelmsford.
This is a full-time position for an initial one-term placement, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract for the right candidate.
The school is committed to providing an inclusive learning environment and is looking for a teacher who is passionate about supporting students with hearing impairments while delivering engaging, high-quality lessons.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons to secondary-aged pupils.
- Support students with hearing impairments using British Sign Language (BSL) where appropriate.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.
- Work closely with the school's SEND team and wider teaching staff to ensure students receive the support they need.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
- The Ideal Candidate
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have British Sign Language (BSL) training or qualification (Level 2 or above is desirable).
- Have experience teaching in a secondary school environment.
- Be committed to inclusive education and supporting students with additional needs.
- Have excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills.
