About the role
Vision for Education works with thousands of primary, secondary and SEND schools and alternative provisions across England. In partnership with schools in our local communities, we are proud to launch our National Teaching Assistant Programme, designed to support those who want to start a Teaching Assistant career.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the day‑to‑day running of schools.
- Build excellent communication and positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Support the class teacher to manage behaviour, implement interventions and provide additional support to children with SEND.
- Assist with recording and reporting on pupil progress and behaviour, and help ensure that children are making good progress in the classroom.
About the school
Working alongside our client schools, the successful Trainee Teaching Assistant will receive high‑quality training and paid on‑the‑job experience. Prior to starting your placement, you will complete a training programme delivered by Vision for Education and school leaders, giving you the essential skills to work as a Teaching Assistant.
Requirements

- Commit to completing the required training and participating in ongoing CPD.

- Be willing to pay for an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service (all staff undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold or prepare to undergo an Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service).
Salary
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Individual's level of experience and qualification.
