Vision for Education are seeking a skilled and dedicated Complex Needs Teacher to work within an SEN school in Cambridge.

About the role

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality science lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5. You will be responsible for maintaining excellent standards of teaching and learning, supporting pupil progress, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will also provide calm, consistent support to pupils with autism and other complex needs, helping to create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Mark and assess student work, providing clear feedback to support progress.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
  • Model respectful, inclusive behaviour and contribute to a classroom culture where every student feels valued, heard, and respected.

Requirements

  • Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A valid DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Commitment to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults, and willingness to undergo Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.

Salary £150 to £170 per day (subject to experience, training, or qualifications).
