Vision for Education are looking for Teaching Assistants to work in a SEN school in Bury, working with a variety of year groups both generally and on a one-to-one basis.

About the role

Schools regularly contact us looking for teaching assistant support. Schools are generally looking for teaching assistants to work on a 1-1 or small group basis with children who require additional support. These roles tend to come about with very little notice due to schools taking on a new starter or long term staff absence.

We are looking for people with a confident approach to building relationships with children, particularly those with SEND. You will need to have a calm and empathetic approach and an understanding that behaviour is a means of communication. A working knowledge of the 'Cambridge Therapeutic Approach' would be beneficial.

Requirements

  • Have some experience or working in a school or similar setting in the last 3 years (6 months minimum)
  • Hold a TA Qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Have some experience of working with children with SEND
  • Have a genuine passion for working in education
  • Hold a full enhanced DBS clearance
  • Be able to provide two recent references to support your work with children

Please note, this is a full time role and access to a car is essential.

Salary and Compensation

£89 to £100 per day. Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Individual's level of experience and qualification.
