About the Role
Vision for Education are recruiting passionate and dedicated Teachers to support children and young people with complex needs in specialist settings across the Suffolk area. This role is offered on a 0-hour contract, providing flexibility to suit your availability, with strong opportunities to progress into long-term and permanent positions. This is a rewarding opportunity for a Teacher who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASC, SEMH, communication difficulties, and learning disabilities.
As a Teacher supporting students with complex needs, you may:
- Plan and deliver adapted, personalised lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Support pupils with a range of complex needs, ensuring access to a broad and balanced curriculum
- Use a variety of specialist strategies and approaches (e.g. sensory learning, communication aids, structured routines)
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff
- Contribute to and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families, and professionals
Assignments can range from short-term cover to long-term placements, with opportunities to move into permanent roles within specialist provisions.

What We’re Looking For
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have a passion for supporting pupils with complex needs
- Be patient, resilient, and adaptable in challenging yet rewarding environments
- Have strong communication and behaviour support skills
- Be confident working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
Experience in SEND or specialist settings is highly desirable, but not essential for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
