School and Role
This Local authority are looking for a 1:1 Tutor to support students based in Bury. They are looking to appoint a passionate 1:1 Tutor to deliver core subjects 1:1 with students unable to attend education or needing support in a curriculum area. Working with this Local authority with an established team around the child, the desired 1:1 Tutor will work 1:1 with pupils with SEND or who are Looked After. Sessions can range from 1 - 5 hours per day depending on the student's needs. The 1:1 Tutor role is long term to offer consistency for the students.
Requirements
- A teaching qualification
- Experience of building positive relationships with students
- Experience of working with students with SEND
- The ability to deliver Maths & English sessions
- A passion for the progress of students struggling to engage with education
- An ability to work with different professionals to support the student (e.g. social workers, educational psychologists)
