This role involves supporting students with complex ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and high behavioural needs within a structured and supportive school environment. The school is looking for someone who is patient, resilient, and confident building positive relationships with students who may need additional emotional and behavioural support throughout the school day.
This position would suit someone with previous experience within schools, care, support work, youth work, or anyone confident working with children with additional needs and challenging behaviour. The role is offered on a 0‑hour contract with the view for the position to become permanent for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be calm, patient, and adaptable
- Have experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
- Be confident managing challenging behaviour
- Be able to build strong and consistent relationships with students
- Work well as part of a team
- Be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS if needed
