- Primary Class Teacher to join a specialist
SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) primary school in North Bristol.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils who require a nurturing, structured and therapeutic approach to learning, helping them to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.
This is a full-time role starting on a supply basis through Vision for Education and is highly likely to become a permanent position for the right person , making it an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking to build a long-term career within specialist education.

The Role
The successful candidate will
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH needs.
- Create a calm, positive and nurturing classroom environment.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support their academic, social and emotional development.
- Use positive behaviour management strategies to encourage engagement and progress.
- Differentiate learning to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, therapists and external professionals to support each child's development.
Requirements
To be considered for the role, you will
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching within a primary setting.
- Have experience working with pupils with SEMH or additional needs (desirable but not essential).
- Be confident managing behaviour using a positive and restorative approach.
- Be patient, resilient and committed to helping every child succeed.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
