About the role
Become a SEND / SEMH Learning Support Assistant! No previous experience or qualifications necessary, just a love for helping others! If you are applying as someone with no education setting experience, we will fund your online training courses in SEND, Behaviour Management, Challenging Behaviours and Safeguarding and Introduction into becoming a Teaching Assistant.
As agency staff, you will be working at a mix of SEN schools, ranging from ASC, ADHD, SEMH, Challenging Behaviours, Learning Difficulties and PMLD. Please note, this is not a permanent position. As part of Vision for Education's supply register, you can be subject to adhoc, short-term or long-term bookings. As you will be agency staff, we cannot guarantee you work. Experience in either the education or care setting is desirable but not required.

Following a successful interview and pending suitability, safeguarding and identity checks, we will work to secure you a paid placement in a school to further develop your skills.
About the school
Prior to starting your placement, you will be required to complete a comprehensive training programme delivered by Vision for Education and school leaders, which will give you the essential skills you need to work as a SEND / SEMH Learning Support Assistant.
Learning Support Assistants are instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of any school. The most effective SEND / SEMH Learning Support Assistants have excellent communication skills and have an interest and passion in supporting the day-to-day needs of all children. They are also able to build relationships with both staff, children, and their families. The role of a SEND / SEMH Learning Support Assistant varies from each school. You may be working to support the teacher in while class teaching, running small group interventions to support children or working on a 1:1 basis to ensure the needs of all children are met and that they can thrive.

- Be committed to completing the required training and participating in ongoing CPD.
- Be willing to pay for an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service.

Salary
£13.68 to £13.68 per hour. Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
