Looking to further your career in SEND? Vision for Education are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant / Creative Art Assistant to join our supply register. We work with SEN schools across Somerset to provide high quality supply staff on adhoc, short term or long term bookings. Responsibilities

The School and Role: Vision For Education are looking to appoint a Creative Art Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant to work with young people who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, Autism and other Learning Difficulties in Weston-Super-Mare. An ideal candidate for the role of Creative Art Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant will be someone who can work in a fast-paced environment, be adaptable and have excellent communication skills. The desired Creative Art Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant will have a passion for working with young people and be able to build rapport quickly, supporting young people in making positive choices.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with secondary and primary school aged children in schools.
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
  • A passion for the progress of SEND primary and secondary school pupils.
  • An ability to work as part of a team.
  • An ability to build rapport quickly with students.

Key qualities such as: Patience, Sympathetic, Strong-willed
