Vision for Education is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to work in an SEN School in Bradford-On-Avon on a full-time basis.

The role includes:

  • 1:1 Student Support: Provide personalised support to students with additional needs in the classroom.
  • Providing support and guidance to the student in their variety of learning needs and assistance with personal care/moving and handling with hoists.
  • Delivering support to children aged 4 all the way through to 19 on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
  • Building a trustworthy and lasting relationship with students, enabling them to shine bright.

To be considered for the role of Learning Support Assistant you will:

  • Be flexible.
  • Ideally have your own transport or close public transport links.
  • Experience with both small group and 1:1 is beneficial.
  • Have friendly and nurturing qualities.
  • Possess competent behaviour management skills.
  • Have experience supporting children and young adults with a range of different learning needs and abilities – PMLD, MLD, ADHD, ADD, ASD, Global Delay, VI, HI, SEMH.
  • Preferably have moving and handling training or recent experience in this.
  • Have a patient and caring nature.
  • Have a desire to work with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
  • Be willing to complete CPD training.

Salary: £445-£500 per week. Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are a desire to work with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
