Vision for Education is seeking a passionate and reliable Tutor to join a specialist SEND provision located in Birmingham. The successful candidate will inspire and support students with special educational needs and disabilities, helping them express themselves in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities on a 1:1 and small group basis.
  • Adapting learning materials and teaching approaches to meet individual student needs.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence, engagement, and independence.
  • Assisting students with emotional, social, and behavioural development in line with school policies.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback on achievements and areas for development.
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all learners.
  • Encouraging participation in classroom activities and promoting positive behaviour strategies.
  • Helping pupils develop life skills, organisation, and self-regulation techniques.
  • Promoting safeguarding, wellbeing, and equality always.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
  • Experience working with SEND students (preferred).
  • Patience, creativity, and strong communication skills.
