Autism Teaching Assistants are required to support pupils with autism and complex needs within a specialist Birmingham school. This rewarding role is ideal for creative, proactive individuals who can use engaging activities, communication strategies and a positive approach to help pupils thrive in a structured learning environment.

Calthorpe Academy is a large specialist school supporting pupils aged 2–19 with autism, complex learning difficulties and additional needs. The school is looking to appoint enthusiastic Autism Teaching Assistants who can think creatively, adapt learning to individual needs and build positive relationships with pupils. Working alongside experienced teachers and therapists, you will support learners through personalised learning, sensory activities and communication-focused interventions. The role also includes supporting personal care where required and promoting independence both in and out of the classroom.

The desired Autism Teaching Assistant will have:
