Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Basildon from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and wants to make a genuine difference to their learning and development.
You will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to provide effective support to pupils and help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.
- Assist the class teacher with engaging learning activities.
- Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Support classroom management and pupil engagement.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
- Help pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.
