The Role and School

We are looking for people with a Sports background to use your skills and knowledge supporting children in a SEND school environment. You will build positive working relationships with pupils and utilise your knowledge of sport to help them to get the most out of their time in education. As a School Sports Assistant you will get a feel for working in schools and gain valuable experience for a potential future in a role working with children.

Requirements

  • A desire to work in Special Educational Needs Schools across Teesside and the North East supporting pupils with barriers to learning, additional learning needs, or social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
  • A warm and friendly nature to be able to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • A sports background that you can incorporate into schools.
  • Drive or be willing to use public transport.
