Vision for Education is looking to appoint a full time Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply team and work in a primary school in the Hartlepool area. This is a full time Teaching Assistant role, Monday to Friday 8:30am until 3:30pm, working a dual role of a 1:1 TA in a SEND base but also working with small groups for intervention. This role will commence January 2026 and will be long term until July 2026. Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is a Level 2 or above in Teaching and Supporting Learning and SEND experience would be desirable to the role. Working within small groups as well as within a SEN base and could be required within a 1:1 role, so a proactive individual is required.
The Role
Working as part of a passionate teaching team, the desired teaching assistant will focus on providing a high standard of support for a small group of KS1/2 children for interventions as well as 1:1 within a SEND base. Must be flexible to changing environments and working within small intervention groups.

Requirements
- Hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in supporting teaching & learning in schools.
- Experience in a SEND Environment would be essential to the role.
- Have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment.
- Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
- Have experience supporting children in primary education.
