Vision for Education is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Swansea on a flexible supply basis. This is an excellent opportunity to gain flexible work while making a real difference to children with additional learning needs.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and other learning difficulties.
SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Support children with SEN and ALN in the classroom.
- Deliver one-to-one support and small-group interventions.
- Work closely with the class teacher to support learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
- Promote an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environment.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Work flexibly across a variety of primary schools throughout Swansea.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN or ALN.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant (LSA), ALN Teaching Assistant, SEN Support Assistant, Care Worker, Residential Support Worker, Nursery Practitioner, Youth Worker, or Support Worker (desirable).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and additional learning needs.
