We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled Teaching Assistants with relevant experience to join our vibrant school community in Portsmouth. In this role, you will work closely with teachers and pupils to provide vital support, promote inclusive learning, and help children achieve their full potential. Location: Portsmouth
Hours: Full-time / Part-time
Start Date: January 2026
Salary: £430 – £450 per week

What You’ll Do:
Support teachers in delivering engaging, tailored lessons, especially for students with SEMH and SEN needs
Develop strong, trusting relationships to enhance confidence and emotional stability
Assist students in developing social skills and emotional regulation strategies
Maintain a calm, positive, and safe classroom environment
Contribute to a team dedicated to the holistic development, inclusion, and safeguarding of every child

What We’re Looking For:
Prior experience working with children or young people (minimum 1-2 years preferred)
Compassion, patience, and a proactive approach
Excellent communication skills
Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic environment
Enhanced DBS on the update service
Full driving license is advantageous
