Vision for Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner primary schools in Blackpool, Lancashire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner to make a real impact within an Early Years setting, supporting children to develop their confidence, independence, and love of learning.
The Role
This Early Years Teaching Assistant role in Blackpool, Lancashire is to begin in January 2025 and will continue for the remainder of the academic year, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate. The successful applicant will support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
You will work closely with pupils to promote social, emotional, and academic development, supporting individual needs and helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is highly desirable for this Early Years Teaching Assistant position, as you may work with children requiring additional support.
Candidates must hold a full and relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3), such as an Early Years Educator qualification, and have recent experience supporting learning within EYFS.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils learning and development through play-based and structured activities.
- Assisting with classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources.
- Delivering targeted interventions and supporting children with SEND.
- Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
- Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
