Vision for Education is working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Blackpool, Lancashire to recruit a dedicated Science Technician to join their team from September 2026 on a temp-to-perm basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Science Technician who enjoys supporting practical learning and ensuring science lessons run smoothly across Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
Role Details
- Location: Blackpool, Lancashire
- Start Date: September 2026
- Hours: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only
- Working Hours: 8:15am – 3:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch, negotiable)
- Pay: LCC Grade 3 or Grade 4 (depending on suitability and experience)
- Contract: Temp-to-Perm with a 6-month casual contract probation period
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare classrooms and laboratories for Science lessons across Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
- Set up practical experiments and equipment.
- Maintain and organise laboratory resources.
- Order and monitor science supplies and stock.
- Ensure equipment is cleaned, stored and maintained safely.
- Support teaching staff with practical lessons.
