This rewarding Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant role in Blackpool, Lancashire is for the full 2026/27 academic year, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position in 2027 for the right candidate.
The Role This Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant position in Blackpool, Lancashire will involve supporting learning within a Year 1 classroom, working closely with the class teacher to help pupils achieve their full potential in a positive and engaging learning environment.
As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality phonics interventions using the Read Write Inc. programme, supporting pupils as they develop their early reading and writing skills.
You will also provide additional support for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping to promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and successful participation in classroom activities.
The successful Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant will: Support teaching and learning within a Year 1 classroom.
Deliver Read Write Inc. phonics sessions confidently and effectively.
Work with individuals and small groups to raise attainment in phonics and literacy.
