Vision for Education is seeking a Teacher of Computer Science to work in a secondary school in Blackburn, Lancashire from September 2026. This long-term Teacher of Computer Science position will run for the full academic year and is suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs. The school is a well-established and inclusive secondary setting that was rated "Good" at its most recent Ofsted inspection, with a strong focus on pupil achievement, behaviour and personal development.
As a Teacher of Computer Science, you will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop their digital skills and understanding of technology. This opportunity offers consistency, support and the chance to become a valued member of the school community.
Requirements- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Computer Science within a secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Computer Science curriculum at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
