A supportive school in Sunderland is seeking a caring and reliable 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs. The role involves working with the child both in class and outside the classroom when needed, helping them engage in learning, manage emotions, and build confidence. You will work closely with teaching staff to provide consistent support, encourage positive behaviour, and help meet the child’s individual learning and wellbeing needs throughout the school day.
Requirements
- Experience of working with primary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
