Are you passionate about inspiring young people through sport? Do you enjoy creating fun, active and engaging learning experiences? We are currently seeking a SEND Sports Assistant to join our excellent supply agency and work in SEND Schools across Durham.

As a SEND Sports Assistant, you will help deliver enjoyable and inclusive physical activities that promote fitness, teamwork and confidence among pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. The successful Sports Assistant will be energetic, reliable, and confident working with children and young people in schools. Coaching experience and strong communication skills are essential. A DBS on the Update Service is required, or you must be willing to obtain one.

The desired Sports Assistant will have:

  • Experience of working with primary and/or secondary school-aged children in schools
  • Experience of supporting pupils with SEND
  • A passion for helping SEND pupils progress through physical activity
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
