The School and Role

This Primary School in the Chester-le-Street area (DH2) is currently looking for a KS2 Teaching Assistant to work on a part-time basis. The role of the KS2 Teaching Assistant will include delivering intervention/catch-up sessions to pupils who need additional academic support – this could involve both low and high attaining pupils. The TA will be required to give feedback to the class teacher about progress. This is a ‘Good’ school, where staff go above and beyond to ensure each child has the tools they need to achieve.

Requirements

The desired KS2 Teaching Assistant will have;

– Experience of working with primary school aged children

– Experience of working with pupils with SEND

– A passion for the progress of primary school pupils

– An ability to work as part of a team
