Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive Primary School in Durham. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people with additional needs. The successful HLTA will be based within the school's ASC provision supporting both KS1 and KS2 children.
The Role
- Support teaching and learning across the school, working with pupils with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH).
- Lead small group interventions and occasionally cover lessons under the direction of teaching staff.
- Assist with the planning, delivery, and assessment of learning activities.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, helping to promote independence, engagement, and personal development.

Requirements
- Have a strong understanding of SEN and experience supporting children with additional needs.
