The Role

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will deliver engaging, hands-on lessons across KS3 and KS4. You’ll support students in developing practical cooking skills, understanding food science and nutrition, and promoting healthy lifestyles.

  • Teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4
  • Delivering practical cooking lessons alongside food theory
  • Promoting food hygiene, safety, and health & safety standards
  • Supporting students’ practical, evaluative, and nutritional understanding
  • Planning differentiated lessons to meet a range of abilities
  • Managing food rooms, equipment, and resources effectively
  • Working collaboratively within the Design Technology department

  • Confident classroom and practical lesson management skills
  • A passion for Food Technology and student wellbeing
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply

This role is suitable for experienced teachers, ECTs, or DT specialists with a Food Technology background.
