The Role
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will deliver engaging, hands-on lessons across KS3 and KS4. You’ll support students in developing practical cooking skills, understanding food science and nutrition, and promoting healthy lifestyles.
- Teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4
- Delivering practical cooking lessons alongside food theory
- Promoting food hygiene, safety, and health & safety standards
- Supporting students’ practical, evaluative, and nutritional understanding
- Planning differentiated lessons to meet a range of abilities
- Managing food rooms, equipment, and resources effectively
- Working collaboratively within the Design Technology department

Requirements
To be considered for this Food Technology Teacher role, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and/or KS4
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene, nutrition, and health & safety
- Confident classroom and practical lesson management skills
- A passion for Food Technology and student wellbeing
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
This role is suitable for experienced teachers, ECTs, or DT specialists with a Food Technology background.
