We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and nurturing full‑time Year 1 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Whitley Bay on a maternity cover basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher committed to providing high quality teaching and learning within KS1. You will play a key role in supporting pupils through this important transition year, helping them to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.
Requirements
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching in KS1
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment
- Create an engaging, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Work as part of a collaborative and caring team
- Show enthusiasm, creativity and excellent classroom management skills
