Creative Arts Assistant Northumberland £13.68 per hour Start Date: Immediate The School and Role Vision for Education are seeking a creative, caring, and enthusiastic Creative Arts Assistant to join our SEND school supply team in Northumberland. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a real difference by using the power of art to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). As a Creative Arts Assistant, you’ll help students express themselves, develop confidence, and strengthen fine motor and communication skills through engaging, sensory-based art activities. You’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment tailored to each pupil’s individual needs. This position is ideal for someone patient, imaginative, and passionate about helping children and young people achieve their full potential through creative learning. Experience working with pupils with additional needs is highly desirable. Please note: All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK and an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain one). The Successful Creative Arts Assistant Will Have Experience working with primary or secondary-aged pupils, ideally in a school setting. A background or interest in supporting young people with SEND. A genuine passion for helping children thrive through creative and practical learning. The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students and staff. Patience, empathy, and resilience when supporting pupils with diverse needs. A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to a supportive team environment.
