We are looking to recruit Early Career Teachers (ECTs) for work based in secondary schools in Gateshead and surrounding areas for a 2026 start!
About the Role and School
The desired Early Career Teacher (ECT) will be working in our client secondary schools from 2026, with various roles available ranging from day to day supply cover to more longer term contracts. The Early Career Teacher (ECT) will be responsible for delivering their subject across Key Stage 3 and 4 to mixed ability classes. We are looking for an Early Career Teacher who is passionate and determined with high expectations of behaviour and attainment. This is a great opportunity to work and gain experience in a number of different schools to gauge where you want your career to take you.
We work with a number of client Secondary Schools in our Newcastle office across the North East which have an outstanding reputation in their local area and are passionate about ensuring our community provides the best possible education for our children. We provide teachers to schools across Newcastle, North and South Tyneside, Northumberland, Sunderland, Durham and Gateshead.
We pride ourselves on providing a tailored service for our schools and candidates, finding the perfect candidate that is local to the school. Candidates have the freedom to let us know where they are happy to travel for work, and what year groups.
Requirements to be considered for the role of Early Career Teacher (ECT):
- Have recent experience teaching students aged 11-16
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of teaching and support staff
- Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
- Have passed your teacher training course
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status.
