We are seeking a dynamic sports coach who can also serve as a Cover Supervisor in schools in and around the Wolverhampton area. This role involves delivering high-quality sports coaching sessions and supervising classes across various subjects when teachers are absent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task with the work provided.
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons in a range of subjects across the curriculum.
- Support students in their learning and address any questions they may have about the material.
- Report any issues or concerns to the relevant Head of Department.
- Lead PE sessions or assist with the leading of PE sessions within the PE Department.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field is desirable.
- Experience in coaching a variety of sports to young people.
- Previous experience in a school setting, particularly in a cover supervisor role, is an advantage.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
