Vision for Education is recruiting enthusiastic Sports Coaches to work as Cover Supervisors, delivering both PE lessons and general classroom cover across a range of secondary schools.

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for Sports Coaches looking to gain experience in education, transition into teaching, or enjoy flexible work around other commitments. As a Sports Coach / Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre-planned PE lessons and supervise lessons across a variety of secondary subjects.
  • Manage classroom behaviour confidently and effectively.
  • Ensure students remain engaged and on task throughout lessons.
  • Support pupils' learning in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Build positive relationships with students and school staff.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.

Your experience as a Sports Coach means you'll already have many of the skills schools are looking for, including strong behaviour management, leadership, communication, and the ability to motivate young people.

Requirements

To be considered for the role, you will have:

  • Experience working with children or young people (sports coaching experience is ideal).
  • Confidence leading groups and managing behaviour.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A professional, reliable and enthusiastic approach.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Salary is dependent on experience, training and qualifications. The minimum requirement for this position is experience working with children or young people, ideally in a coaching environment.
