1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary SEN School Coventry | Full Time | Long-Term | September Start
Vision for Education are recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a primary-aged pupil with complex needs at a specialist SEN school in Coventry from September. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the education and wellbeing of a child who requires consistent, personalised support throughout the school day.
About the School Setting
The school supports primary-aged pupils with a wide range of additional needs, including:
- Complex learning difficulties
- Physical disabilities
- Autism (ASC)
- Communication and interaction needs
- Medical and sensory needs
The successful candidate will be working closely with an individual pupil who requires high levels of support both academically and physically. Personal care and physical assistance form an essential part of this role.
The Role
The successful 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant will:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day
- Assist with learning activities tailored to the pupil's individual needs
- Support communication and engagement in lessons
- Provide personal care, including toileting and hygiene support
- Assist with mobility, positioning and physical support where required
- Support emotional wellbeing and social development
- Work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals
- Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil
This role requires patience, resilience and a genuine commitment to supporting children with complex needs.
