A specialist school in Salford is seeking a dedicated Children’s Mental Health Assistant to provide hands-on support for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. In this classroom-based role, you’ll work closely with teachers to support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, social development, and learning progress. With small class sizes, you can build meaningful relationships, provide individualised support, and truly see the difference your care and guidance make.

  • Be patient, adaptable, and empathetic, able to respond effectively to each pupil’s individual emotional and educational needs
  • Be committed to promoting pupils’ wellbeing, resilience, and personal development
  • Be reliable, proactive, and a strong team player, contributing positively to the school community
  • Hold the right to work in the UK and be able to provide two professional references
